Afshin James Khodabakhsh M.D.

A. James Khodabakhsh is an expert refractive surgeon. He is board certified in ophthalmology specializing in small incision cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery. He has performed thousands of eye surgeries and is widely known for his successful visual outcomes especially in challenging cases. After completing his residency at NY medical college, Dr. Khodabakhsh joined the faculty and became a clinical assistant professor of ophthalmology. He currently lectures nationally and internationally on anterior segment disease and surgery. He has trained dozens of doctors in the techniques of small incision cataract surgery and glaucoma. He also has numerous publications in major ophthalmic journals including, Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology and Cornea. He is presently working on a book dealing with the complications of cataract surgery.
